Meet Dr. Alana Robinson
Being a dentist is something that I have wanted to be and do since I was six years old. After going through my own dental journey, I knew I wanted to grow up to have the same positive influence on other's lives. A smile is truly the most understand symbol is every language around the world and to be a smile doctor is one of the best gifts I have been given.
My goal is to make the dentist a comfortable place for patients and their parents. I really care deeply about each patient as a person along with their families, so serving them and being a small part of their day is something I consider a privilege. I want each child to be treated as if they were my own.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, minor in Chemistry – Clemson University
- Doctorate of Medical Dentistry – University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry
In addition to my formal education, I take hands-on continuing education courses to stay up to date on the newest and best treatments. Continuing education also allows me to expand my skill set to be able to serve all patients where they are at with whatever dental need they have.
Outside the Office
I grew up in North Carolina, the youngest of three kids, and one of 18 cousins! There are a lot of us, and it is tons of fun to be with the whole crew.
When I’m not at work, you can always find me competing in a half marathon, trail run, or CrossFit. Working out is one of my top passions, along with cooking and baking. I'm usually eating something chocolate or drinking iced coffee! I also love to watch TV series, spend time with friends, and travel.
I love working with middle and high school kids in the community, whether in sports or youth group. Being active in the community is important to me because I believe communities only thrive when its members are all friends and working together. Plus, I love getting to know different people!
